Materials

We provide top quality CNC turned parts for example for:

STEEL

The most commonly used steel for turning is cutting steel (without lead) material 1.0715 – 11SMn30 + C / SH.This unalloyed steel has good machinability properties. The addition of Sulfur, gives this cutting steel better machinability.

Other types of steel are also used, such as:

  • C45K Material 1.0503
  • St37-2 Material 1.0037
  • St52-3 Material 1.0570
  • 42CrMo4 Material 1.7225

STAINLESS STEEL – INOX

Stainless steel (also referred to as inox) is available in many qualities. Choosing the right stainless steel quality depends on factors such as weldability, hardness, corrosion resistance, mechanical properties and price.

Many turned parts are mede of:

  • SS 303 (1.4301)
  • SS 304 (1.4305)
  • SS 316 (1.4404)
  • SS 316Ti (1.4571)

The machinability differs by quality.
We manufacture large series of high-quality and precise parts with very close tolerances in stainless steel

ALUMINUM

Aluminum is a high-grade non-ferrous metal with a relatively low weight and high strength. The mechanical properties vary by selected alloy. Often, aluminum turned parts are combined with an anodizing layer to increase abrasion resistance and hardness or as protection against aggressive substances.

Anodizing also occurs for aesthetic reasons. The parts can be anodized in a color as desired.

We have a lot of experience in aluminum processing and anodizing. Please ask for advice.

BRASS

Brass is an alloy of copper and zinc and is known for its self-lubricating properties. Brass is available with various additives that can affect hardness, tensile strength and color. For pipe fitting applications, superalloys can be used. For example, if there are requirements for corrosion resistance to chemical substances or to prevent plumbum in drinking water. Due to our years of experience in processing this metal, we are able to manufacture high-quality and precise parts with very close tolerances.

PLASTICS

  • POM – Polyacetal is a strong, hard and above all dimensionally stabele plastic with very low frictional resistance.
  • PA66 – Polyamide or Nylon: Due to its high abrasion resistance combined with good sliding and rolling properties, this is plastic for dynamic applications in mechanical engineering.
  • HD-PE – The slightly greasy sensing HDPE polyethylene is moisture repellent and has a good chemical resistance, it is suitable for contact with food and has a low friction coefficient and a reasonable wear resistance.
  • PPSU – Polyphenyl sulfone combines exceptional hydrolysis resistance and sterilability with noticeably high notch strength; it also has an intrinsic flame retardancy and provides good resistance to energy-rich radiation.
  • PVC-Polyvinylchloride is a rigid and conformable plastic material with a smooth and tight surface. It has excellent chemical resistance properties and is both good in glueing and welding. The machining accuracy is also relatively high and it is partly used in the machine construction.

ASSEMBLED MATERIALS

We can also assemble products that are composed of multiple materials. The assembly department ensures the perfect finish of the agreed end product. When assembling, we use various connecting techniques, such as screws, gluing glue, riveting and pressing.
