At Marvo, we combine advanced CNC technology with in-depth expertise in precision turning. Our modern, automatic CNC turning machines are set up for unmanned production, making them ideal for larger runs.

Large series with high precision

We focus on manufacturing large series of turned parts with high precision. Our state-of-the-art machines, equipped with up to 14 moving axes, make it possible to produce highly complex products with great precision.

All our products are cleaned in a computer-controlled cleaning installation working with modified alcohol. We have test facilities to check the surface cleanliness of your turned parts. In our facilities, we clean and degrease products up to a surface tension of 48 mN/m2.

Surface treatments

We are experienced in various surface treatments. We have extensive experience in galvanising, blackening, anodising and nickel plating, among others. This increases the durability, corrosion resistance and aesthetics of your products. During post-processing, a product is always double-checked for correct dimensions and visual deviations.

We machine various high-quality steels, stainless steel, aluminium, brass, special alloys and plastic. You will find a comprehensive overview here.

The price of the material and its machinability determine the cost price of your parts. Thanks to our extensive experience, we can answer all your questions regarding the choice of materials for your CNC parts.

The most commonly used steel grade for turning is free cutting steel (without lead); material number 1.0715 – 11SMn30+C/SH. This unalloyed steel has good machining properties. The addition of sulphur, among other things, gives this automatic steel its good machinability.

Other steels are also used such as:

  • C45K (1.0503)
  • St37-2 (1.0037)
  • St52-3 (1.0570)
  • 42CrMo4 (1.7225)
  • ETG100 (1.0762)

Stainless steel (also referred to as SS or Inox) comes in many different qualities. Choosing the right stainless steel grade depends on factors such as weldability, hardenability, corrosion resistance, mechanical properties and price.
CNC turned parts are machined from:

  • AISI 303 (1.4301)
  • AISI 304 (1.4305)
  • AISI 316 (1.4404)
  • AISI 316Ti (1.4571)

Machinability varies by grade.
We machine high-quality and precise parts with very close tolerances in series from stainless steel.

Aluminium is a high-quality non-ferrous metal with relatively low weight and high strength. Its mechanical properties vary depending on the alloy chosen. Aluminium parts are often anodised to increase wear resistance and hardness or as protection against aggressive substances.

Anodising is also done for aesthetic reasons. The appearance can be anodised in a colour of your choice. We have a great deal of experience in processing aluminium and anodising it.

Commonly used aluminium alloys are:

  • 6026LF
  • 7075 (3.4365)
  • 2011 (3.1655)
  • 2033 

Titanium Gr2 (3.7035)

Brass is an alloy of copper and zinc and is known for its self-lubricating properties. Brass is available with various additives that can affect hardness, tensile strength and colour. Superalloys are regularly used for fitwork applications. For instance, if there are requirements for corrosion resistance against chemicals or to prevent lead in drinking water.

Our many years of experience in machining this metal enable us to manufacture high-quality and accurate parts with very close tolerances.

Plastics regularly processed by us are:

  • POM – Polyoxymethylene, also known as acetal or Delrin, is a thermoplastic plastic known for its high strength, stiffness and excellent wear resistance. It is often used in mechanical parts that require high precision and durability, such as gears, bearings, fasteners and other components.
  • PA66 – Polyamide or Nylon is the plastic of choice for dynamic mechanical engineering applications due to its high wear resistance combined with good sliding and rolling properties.
  • HD-PE – The slightly greasy to the touch HDPE – polyethylene is moisture repellent and has good chemical resistance, is suitable for food contact has a low coefficient of friction and reasonable wear resistance.
  • PPSU – Polyphenylsulfone combines exceptional hydrolysis resistance and sterilizability with remarkably high impact resistance; also has intrinsic flame extinguishing properties and offers good resistance to energy-rich radiation.
  • PVC– Polyvinyl chloride is a rigid and dimensionally stable plastic material with a smooth and sleek surface. It has excellent chemical-resistant properties and can be bonded as well as welded. Its machining accuracy is also relatively high and it is widely used in mechanical engineering partly because of this.

We can also assemble products composed of several materials or parts for you. The assembly department ensures a perfect finish of the agreed final product. In assembly, we use various joining techniques, such as screwing, glueing, riveting and stamping.
